About Busy Bees

We use a mixture of child led play and adult led activities covering a broad range of topics and themes whilst working towards the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS).

To ensure the children reach their full potential, we plan each session around their individual needs and interests. We emphasise personal, social and emotional development along with communication and language skills as a starting point for all learning. We believe that these developmental areas are the foundation for a child acquiring independence, confidence, self-esteem and the motivation to learn.

As the children progress through the group, the other areas of learning will be covered through planned activities that take into account the children’s needs and interests. The group is flexible to allow for spontaneous learning opportunities and to give the children time to revisit activities and to practice new skills.

“Playing, learning and developing through a love of the outdoors”

The group is run by a management committee made up of parents, carers and interested parties as a non-profit making enterprise. We are members of the Early Years Alliance and are registered with OFSTED. We are also registered with the local authority to receive the Nursery Grant.
